The Story

Designed to compliment the aesthetics of the convertible mustang, standard in  black with integrated LED third brake light and comes with all the necessary hardware required for installation. Add dramatically improved styling and third brake light visibility to your convertible. (Note: this is not a roll bar)
High Quality Construction. This Saleen Light Bar is manufactured to exacting specifications. Product Material-1 1/4" Round Steel Tube with a 1/8" Wall Thickness. Poly Urethane foam molded over tube and wrapped with vinyl. Application bolts in with an estimated installation time of 3 Hours.
Note:  87-89 models will need to replace the rear interior trim panels with 90-93 trim panels (not included) to accept the Light Bar brackets' width. It is recommended to acquire these panels first as they are difficult to find.
**84-86 is a custom install. 

  • Direct swap? No, a 1990 interior won’t just drop into a 1984–1986 convertible.

  • Possible with modification? Yes, if you’re willing to cut, trim, and potentially relocate mounting points. But it’s a fabrication project, not a bolt-in.

  • Best solution for light bar in ’84–’86?

    • Custom brackets behind your existing trim, then cutting small access slots.

    • Or have custom panels made that incorporate the recesses like the 1990–1993 cars.
